Alyson Gamble
Lee Erickson
Alyson
is the fastest racer on our team though John is a very close
second. Between racing and then becoming captain of the Sunday
team and then transferring to our Wednesday team, Alyson is second in
seniority to Lee.

Lee
is the senior member of our team with race experience going back
to before the turn of century when ULLR’s raced on Thursday night. Lee
remembered the ULLR cheer and brought it to us.
John Kasprick
Scott Froehlke
Sue Malecha
John
is Team Captain and for the second year in a row there where snow
issues which puts an extra communication burden on the captain; will
there be a race or a postponement? Fortunately Buck Hill always
came through with just enough snow for us to race on. John is our
number one recruiter and is working hard to try to find an additional
one or two racers to fill out our team.
Scott
is a very competitive racer, but this year he was plagued with
injuries. Scott joined our team the year before the pandemic, and
this is his fourth year of racing. Besides ski racing, he also
plays hockey in an adult league. Scott is a key member of our
team and we worry that someday he might forget himself, and show up for
the race with his hockey sticks rather than his skis.
Sue
is a member of the 3M ski club. Last year she had hoped to
introduce two other 3M members to ski racing during December so they
would be prepared for the January start with our team. But no
snow in December! They didn’t want to try racing without an
introduction to race gates and practice time with them.
Unfortunately we had the same problem this year, a major shortage of
snow in December!
Tim Aune
Tim is new to our team this year but has had many years experience
racing with a Sunday team. We are honored to have him with us; he
is a member of the Buck Hill Ski Patrol. He recently returned
from a trip to Norway where he took many pictures of Fjords which he
shared with the team.
