| We had a wonderful time biking and visiting down at Lanesboro again this summer, August 20 to 22. Twenty-five ULLR’s met at the Green Gables Inn. We were lucky to have good weather for bicycling and socializing outside on the large patio. Sunday many of us enjoyed pie at the Waylen Pie Shop. This was followed by a Happy Hour at 5:00PM that featured an array of appetizers provided by all the participants. Monday morning, we had delicious quiche baked ahead by Lois Drontle. We then enjoyed bicycling on paved bike trails along the Root River. The trail passes through forested areas and some farmland. Some chose to golf on a local golf course. Most of us met up at a local restaurant, Pedal Pushers on Monday evening for dinner. We look forward to meeting up again next year at this annual event. |
