| On
a beautiful sunny afternoon 45 ULLRs gathered at the Minnesota Valley
Country Club for our 2022 Christmas Social. A beautiful view of
fresh snow on the large expanse of golf course was a wonderful sight to
see out the huge windows. Our first entertainment of the day
started with 6 large wild turkeys right outside the large picture
windows parading for us and doing the "Turkey Trot" thru the snow. As we entered the Country Club we saw it beautifully decked out in colorful Christmas decor. Each year we get to see old friends attend that we may not have seen in a long time. Lots of Toys for Tots filled 3 very huge gift bags along with $145 in checks that Ellise delivered to the Toys for Tots Richfield collection center. A lot of gifts will gladden children's hearts with all the gifts donated by generous ULLR members. Our tasty meal of chicken, green beans, and roasted potatoes was served by the efficient and friendly staff of MVCC. Desert was a beautifully decorated cake provided by the ULLR Club. Our entertainment was provided by Jon deVaal and Pauline Boyd playing piano and singing holiday songs and getting the party attendees to sing along. https://www.jondevaal.com/ The ULLR Foundation sold raffle tickets for a "goodies" basket. The table decorations were provided by Ellise Lamb. Many thanks to Ellise Lamb and Linda Heintz for planning a very entertaining afternoon. Thanks to Diane Erlandson for again doing a great job on name badges and place cards and to Carol Bush for being our photographer. And a huge thank you to all who came and enjoyed their afternoon with fellow ULLRs. A great time was had by all! |
