Rudy L Kraemer Nature Preserve Hike
Who
would have guessed that in the northwest area of busy Burnsville there
would be a gem, a wonderful 75-acre prairie restoration. Ten
ULLRs walked through the beautiful and peaceful nature preserve.
The walk began with a short prairie trail walk. We continued to
the 8 stop self-guided nature trail. One stop overlooked the
wetland area and pond where Canada geese were enjoying the perfect
weather. Flowering plants were everywhere along the perimeter
wetland trail. Many birds soared overhead in the quiet
environment, flocking and settling on the overhead wires. We
enjoyed a lunch together at the Buffalo Tap following the walk.
