Dakota Trail Ride & Picnic at Gale Woods Farm |

| On
June 11th, 17 ULLRs began the season's first club bike ride under
Covid-19 restrictions on the Dakota Rail Regional Trail. Everyone
was thrilled to finally be on a ULLR ride, seeing old friends and
catching up. Leaving from the trailhead at Gale Woods Farm, the
group broke up into 4 smaller groups and rode any direction and
distance that they preferred, from 10 to 30+ miles. The weather
was sunny and warm with winds increasing throughout the ride, making
the going more challenging. After the ride, most stayed for a social distance picnic in the shade of the massive trees at Gale Woods Farm. This ride was a successful experiment to see how well the group was able to keep a safe distance from each other. We do plan to offer limited rides throughout the season with social distancing. |
