ULLRs gathered on June 10-13 for our annual Nisswa adventure at Good
Ol’ Days Resort. As usual, we had a great time despite chilly
temperatures, a bit more wind than desired, and even an errant
rainstorm complete with hail. Miraculously, no one got caught in
the rain or hail. One of the great things about this trip is the variety of activities available and we all dispersed in different directions each day. Some of us biked, others golfed, went shopping or out for lunch, or just enjoyed the resort for conversation or reading. Margie Deutsch helped a number of ULLRs trace their family roots and, thanks to Jan Stalpes, six ULLRs did the zip line in Brainerd. They loved it and several are already planning for it next year! Good Ol’ Days provides a wonderful setting for group get-togethers and we took advantage of that on Monday and Wednesday evenings for happy hours both evenings and dinner on Wednesday. Our thanks to everyone for their contributions – great food and great company. Thank you all for a fun time once again in Nisswa. |
