On
Sunday November 11th, 12 ULLRs met at Carver Park Reserve in Victoria
for a 3+ mile walk in the woods. We hiked several loops, mostly
in the woods, but also past a few lakes and ponds. We saw many
birds, but we were too noisy to see any larger critters. We
checked out the cages by the nature center that housed different birds
that had been in car accidents so they are unable to be in the
wild. We also checked out the nature center which has many
displays of animals.
Two
weeks before this hike, Patty was in the park and saw 5 trumpeter swans
but they had all flown south on the day the group was in the
park. After our hike we had a good lunch and fun conversation at
The School of the Wise restaurant in Victoria.
