A
beautiful Autumn day with plenty of sunshine made for a lovely walk
through the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum. We began our winding
walk after taking a picture in front of the Giant Pumpkin Tree inside
the Visitor Center. Nine ULLRS wove in and out of the “off road”
paths stopping to view the Sculpture Garden and the Chinese
Garden. We wandered through a variety of evergreen trees, and
beautiful ornamental grasses lightly swaying in the breeze.
We
found our way back to the visitor center by way of the Green Heron Pond
and Boardwalk. The Arboretum had their usual display of
scarecrows. They were in the process of taking down an Origami
exhibit that had been displayed. A delicious lunch in the
Arboretum cafeteria brought an end to our beautiful autumn day.
