Lanesboro 2017
Ullrs
had a great time in Lanesboro once again! Twenty eight filled
Green Gables Inn, with three others joining us for biking and
socializing. The weather was in our favor, even though
predictions were “iffy.”
Appetizers
in the courtyard provided hours of comradery in a very nice
setting. What a wonderful group of friends gathered together to
spend enjoyable time together!
Many
biked three days, taking advantage of the well paved trails of the Root
River and Harmony–Preston State Trails. The beautiful riding
through limestone bluffs, wooded and wildflower areas, pastures,
rolling hills, over old railroad bridges, etc. is delightful.
It’s easy to see why Minnesota is number one in the country for bike
trails!
Twenty Ullrs enjoyed the
amazing production of “The Elephant Man” at the Commonweal
Theater. This small town theater offers first rate theatrical
talent!
We were delighted to discover a
new restaurant in Rushford. Luigi’s is a great Italian restaurant
for lunch or dinner, which we hope to go back to next year! How
an Italian restaurant started and owned by a family from Mexico in this
little mid-western town is a fascinating tale.
Thank you to everyone for another memorable Lanesboro bike trip.
