 | Belated Ole Awards at June 7th What's Cookin' picnic | |
| Spring Banquet The 67th Annual Awards Banquet and Dinner Dance was held at the Chanhassen American Legion. Mistress of Ceremony Nancy Sand, welcomed everyone and introduced guests Christine Roehler and Lorelei Swan. Ullrs socialized and enjoyed a delicious buffet dinner and marble cake for dessert. Following dinner, awards were presented. The Raiders Of The Lost Fjord downhill race team were awarded medals. They were Jim Habeck, Lee Erikson, Torch Dorn, Kathy Lucas, Mick Gangley and John Kasprick. They all qualified for Nationals. Several Ullrs were recognized for their outstanding contributions to the club. They were Bill Brechtel, the "Pedal Paddle" Ole award; Jerry Weiskoph, the "Steady as a Rock" Ole award; Elise Lamb, the "Wine and Dine" Ole award; and Jim Habek, the "Our Prez" Ole award. Ullr of the Year was awarded to Carol Bush. The American Flyer Band played "our" music, and it seemed that all 68 Ullrs danced and filled the dance floor. Ullrs know how to have fun! Fresh flower arrangements by the Flower Box were given away. Nancy Sand announced the Western Ski Trip to Winter Park, CO will be March 2018. Sign ups are now being taken.
