| Annual Ullr Awards and Spring Banquet (celebrating 65 years) The American Legion in Savage was the setting once again for the Annual Ullr Awards and Spring Banquet. A delicious buffet dinner was enjoyed by 81 Ullrs. A cake was brought in to celebrate 65 years. Foundation President, Jerry Weishopf, explained the equipment they had provided to people with special needs. Downhill racing awards were presented by Brian Johnson to the Foggy Goggles team who all qualified for Nationals. Ole awards were awarded to Patty Fitzgerald, Jan Butler, Nancy Sand and Mary Jane Hochstein. Patty also presented both the 2015-2016 and 2016-2017 Executive Board members to the club. Karen Gray was selected as Ullr of the Year and presented with an award. Floral arrangements of yellow and blue flowers with a variety of greens by the Flower Box were given away. A western ski trip to Park City, Utah for February 26-March 4, 2017 was announced. Details are being worked out and will soon be provided. A big thank you to Mary Jane Hochstein for filling in as MC and to Mary and Tom Van de Hei our photographers. Thanks to all who attended and joined in on the fun: dancing to the American Flyer Band to the macarena, the chicken dance and the hokey pokey as well as many traditional songs.
