| Nerstrand Fall Hike With a weather forecast of 70 degrees and sunny skies, nine ULLRs notified event host Nancy Sand they would be coming on the November 4 Nerstrand Big Woods fall hike. However when the day dawned cloudy, windy, and chilly, everyone came anyway. The wind proved not to be a negative factor, as the heavily forested woods provided ample protection from the wind, and the exertion of our hike kept us warm. Ten ULLRs hiked about five miles up and down hills on trails covered with crunchy leaves. Early in the hike, we enjoyed seeing the water falls on Prairie Creek, and later Nancy encouraged some to climb on trees or stand on fallen logs for photo ops. Following the hike, we caravanned into Northfield for lunch at the Hideaway Coffeehouse and Winebar. It was a great day to be with ULLR friends. |
