Sakatah Singing Hills Bike Ride
Sunday,
September 20th was a beautiful day and 17 bikers enjoyed the Sakatah
Singing Hills bike trail. We started in Faribault and biked west
on the beautifully paved trail. It winds past lakes, farms and
small towns. We biked into the Sakatah State Park for a rest stop
and a snack and then biked back to Faribault.
On
the return ride it was reported that some of the bikers "put the pedal
to the metal" and were riding at almost 20 mph. I was NOT
one of those riders. We were glad to be back at the cars just as
the wind started to pick up.
We drove to
the Depot Bar & Grill, an historic depot converted to a restaurant
and bar. The restaurant was packed with happy drinkers and eaters
and our group enjoyed a great lunch and conversation.
