| 65th Awards and Spring banquet Beautiful sunny skies were visible as 68 ULLRs and friends arrived the the 65th ULLR Annual Awards Banquet and dance. Following a delicious dinner, Master of Ceremonies Alan Moore welcomed the group. Jim Rupert, a member from 50 years ago, said a few words about what ULLR was like in the past. Foundation President, Jerry Weiskopf, announced that the Foundation was providing a grant to Courage Center for an adaptive hand cycle for use on bike paths. Brian Johnson gave out racing medals to Lee Erickson (who qualified for nationals), Torch Dorn, Scott Shields, and Jim Habeck. A medal was also presented to the fastest racer, John Kasprick. Ole Awards were presented to Patty Fitzgerald and John Stiefel, Mary Ellen Gabel, Jim Habeck, and Past President Karen Gray. ULLR of the Year was presented to Sharon Marini by Nancy Sand. The dance floor was hardly ever empty. Later in the evening almost everyone danced the Hokey Pokey. What fun!! Table arrangements were provided by the Flower Box.
