| ULLRs Enjoy a Las Vegas-Style Show Sixty seven ULLRs and friends, plus a packed house, were treated to a fabulous Las Vegas style luncheon and concert at the KC Hall in Bloomington on Thursday, July 31, 2014. Frank DiSalvo from Indian Wells, CA, wowed us with his impersonations of Sinatra, Martin, Julio Iglesias, Willie Nelson, Louis Armstrong, Elvis and many more of the “greats” and their music from the Great American Songbook. Frank’s show included a sing-along, a dance-along, a moving tribute to our veterans, as well as spiritual selections. And when he took up his guitar, he made that sing as well! Two hours flew by, leaving us wanting MORE! He loved the Minnesotans for their patriotism, and said he would consider a return concert in the future... Stay tuned!!!! A special thanks to Karen Gray for promoting this event and for taking ULLR reservations in my absence, to Gary Gray for taking photos at the event, and to Barb Carpenter for help with the ushering.
