| It
was a beautiful festive evening. The ladies wore their finest and
the men were handsome. A delicious meal was enjoyed by 77
ULLRs sitting at tables decorated with baskets of flowers containing
white tulips, pink carnations and deep red mums with a variety of
greens. Pink and mint green napkins added to the festive
atmosphere. Master of ceremonies, Jerry Swanberg did a fantastic job! Brian Johnson and Barb Kolbe presented racing awards to the 4 racers present. Ole awards were presented to Jerry Schuster - The Fully Charged Award, Carol Bush - The Bean Counter Award, Brian Johnson - The Out of the Gate Award, and Dolly Eastman & Carol DeVore - The Ready & Steady Award. ULLR Of The Year Award went to Nancy Sand. Lena (Dianne Salmela), who made a surprise appearance, gave her very own award: The History of Scandinavia, to Jan Cady. The 2015 Western Ski Trip was announced by Pat Nelson and Bruce Warner with a destination to Beaver Creek and Vail. Alan Moore, our photographer was busy all evening taking pictures. The Squires Band provided the music and ULLRs outdid themselves by dancing until 11 pm instead of their usual 10:30! |
