ULLRs made their way "up north" in fog, rain, and chilly temps.
Arriving in Nisswa, the skies brightened somewhat. ULLR
enthusiasm was not diminished. We enjoyed wine, beer and a
wonderful array of appetizers that included fruits, veggies, cheese and
crackers served with beautiful presentation. On Thursday, we faced a strong north wind if biking north. Some stopped at the "to die for" bakery in Pine River. Some drove to Walker and biked 7 miles of rolling hills and brought back a few ticks. Thursday evening we again enjoyed friendship and dined on pulled chicken and pork, fruits, veggies, cheese, crackers and ice cream for dessert along with Mary Ellen Gabel's delicious brownies and rhubarb dream dessert. Some ate outside and some inside. We also enjoyed the bonfire while others played bridge or games. Thanks to all who came and contributed to make it a truly fun event. Mary Ellen and Sharon |
