Mummies Exposed
Whoa, Horsey!
Giddyup, Horsey!

Please Daddy, Can I drive?
On Thursday Nov 29, a “Three-In-One” event was held at the Science Museum of Minnesota.
We
first toured the “Lost Egypt” exhibit that focused on the common people
who built the pyramids, how they built them, their daily lives and why
they “loved their mummies”.
We then
went outside to look at the District Energy Plant. It uses
renewable energy sources to create electricity and hot and cold
water. The sources include the sun and wood from downed trees and
construction waste.
We took a welcome break and ate at “The Liffey” Irish Pub (some people cheated and had pizza).
After
that, back at the SMM, we investigated the Tornado Interceptor Vehicle,
which is designed to do what its name implies. We wound up in the
Omnitheater watching it survive a direct hit. You can’t help
wondering what people dreamed of that night, eh?
