On November 30, 2011, seven ULLR Singles and
some of Margie Seklund’s friends went to the
ReEntry halfway house in south Minneapolis to sing
Christmas carols and socialize with the residents.
Ray, a friend of Margie, wore a Santa outfit and
handed out bags of Christmas gifts to each of the
residents. The residents were very pleased with
all the gift items, the singing, and the interaction
with the ULLR group.
The staff at ReEntry provided
some appetizers, Christmas cookies, and apple
cider for everyone. It was a very rewarding and
happy occasion.
Afterwards, all of the ULLR
Singles went to Curran’s Family Restaurant in
Minneapolis.
Thanks to all ULLRs who were so generous in
providing clothing, gifts and money to purchase gifts
for the residents. They were very much appreciated.
