| 2010-11 ULLR Winter Events Planning Party It might be hard to believe, but winter is on the way! Look around and you already see some colored leaves. The days are getting shorter. Clothing stores are showing fall and winter apparel. Hoigaards tent sale is coming soon. Businesses have stocked their shelves with Christmas decorations, and those of us who actually like winter are sniffing the air and looking for that first snowflake! And to make sure ULLR is ready, seventeen ULLRs met on July 28 at the home of Nancy Sand at Gramercy Club in Burnsville to plan 2010-11 fall and winter activities. Barb Kolbe, Jim Habek, and Nancy Sand facilitated the meeting, and soon the calendar filled was filled with proposals for fall and winter hiking, ski, cross country, snowshoe, and race events from October through March. ULLR winter outdoor enthusiasts will have lots of opportunities to enjoy our beautiful Minnesota winter. Following the planning meeting, ULLRs enjoyed brats, salads, and desserts on the patio on a wonderfully warm and not so humid July evening. Are you ready for fall and winter fun?
