ULLR Foundation & Courage Center at Nov 12th ULLR General Meeting
The ULLR “Ski for Light” Foundation was very pleased to be able to present a $3,500 check to Courage Center for the purchase of a Bi-Ski for their Adaptive Alpine Ski Program and the new Veterans Ski Program. Some of the ULLR Foundation Board of Directors members traveled to Courage Center November 3rd to present the check and to also learn more about their ski program.
Through our giving, and the generous donations of members of the ULLR Ski, Bike & Social Club, we have a deep satisfaction in being able to help our veterans who return home without their “ski legs”. Through the Club’s participation and awesome monetary donations at our October 15 Foundation Bingo and Raffle evening, we are able to support such programs as Courage Center provides, as well as other organizations.
Shown demonstrating the “race runner”, Jenny Walsh from Courage Center explained that this equipment is used for assistance in stabilizing runners. ULLRs have donated in the past toward purchase of this equipment, as well.
Once again ULLRs demonstrate their generous hearts!!
