Who would have thought that a day in February in Minnesota would have been too warm for skiing? That's exactly what happened on Feb. 8th when 13 ULLRs gathered at Lebanon Hills Park.
We met at the Schulze Lake visitor center and after much discussion of conditions decided snowshoeing was a little iffy also, so we all (with the exception of Laurie C, still recuperating from foot surgery) headed out for a winter hike.
The trails were well traveled but not well marked in one place. After a little longer route than expected, we managed to find the sign posts and get back on track, thanks to some excellent scouting and much discussion. Total distance was about 2 3/4 miles, total time: 1 1/2 hrs. It was a gorgeous day!
Hikers included, Ron F, Pam A, Barb K, Sally C, Dave L, Judy B, Cheryl O, JJ C, Chris F, Marty W and Vickie L.
Following the hiking adventure, most of us retired to Axel's Bonfire in Eagan for an early dinner.
