We couldn’t have ordered a more perfect day for a fall golf mixer than the one we had September 17th at Hidden Greens in Hastings! Many golfers finished their round saying “Now I know why it’s named Hidden Greens”. The course lived up to its’ name and reputation for challenging golf. Several of the golfers lost balls, many hit the plentiful, mature oak trees that lined every fairway and a few balls were lost to the ponds and to the creek.

Our First Place Team, finishing one under par, included Jan Cady, Janet Bonin, Carol Schwebach, Mark Edwards and Gus Bjorklund.  Coming in a close second, only one over par, was the team of John Egan, Jan Iverson, Barb Kolbe, Jim Habeck and Joella Wilson.  The third place team included Carol Hed, Dell Fystrom, Dennis Johnson and Joyce Bolt.  Two teams tied for fourth place: Judy Bergan’s team of Lois Rish, Al Zeitz and Bill Donnais, and Barb Carpenter’s team of Joe Fischenich, Jim Ronning and Tom Larkin.

Skin money of $50 per team went to the teams of Jan Cady and Carol Hed. Individual cash prizes went to John Egan and Gus Bjorklund for men's longest drive; Joella Wilson and Joy Knudson for women’s longest drives; Al Zeitz and Gus Bjorklund for men's losest to the pin; June Buckholz and Joyce Bolt for women's closet to the pin; John Egan and Sandra Shearer for drive closet to the line.

We were able to enjoy the lovely fall day further by sharing a delicious picnic dinner and having drinks out doors after golfing.  It was a great day!
