July in Minneapolis – back to Orchestra Hall
Along with 40 plus ULLRS – really having a ball

We were split into two groups – couldn’t make just one
One Saturday, one Sunday – it was twice as much fun

First, we met on the Plaza – like we’ve done each year
Enjoying outdoors activities – music, food and beer

A special Sommerfest program – with Doc Severinsen
Although he retired last year – he came back again

Doc went down to San Miguel Allende – in old Mexico
There he met four musicians – he now calls them amigo

‘El Ritmo de la Vida’ – they revived his career
For the perfect venue – Doc booked them here

Traditional Latin Rhythm – along with popular song
It was fantastico!  A major hit – with the ULLR throng

After the performance – ULLRs gather cross the street
Destination, Brits Pub – for socializing and a treat

The event was very successful – many accolades abound
Reliving tunes in our heads – tapping feet on the ground
