It was a cold and stormy night…  Oops sorry, that’s a different story.

It was a warm and sunny Sunday.  If it hadn’t been for what folks out here on the plains refer to as a light (10-15 mph) breeze, it would have been a perfect day for biking.

We had 39 bikers and another 4 or so that came just to visit.  Rides of 18, 24 and 32 miles gave plenty of opportunity for everyone to enjoy the quiet country roads and farm fields filled with abundant harvest.

Thanks to Barb Kolbe for being our designated house sitter during the ride.  Thanks also to Don and Kay Sommers who devoted much time and effort to provide help to our biker who was stranded with a flat tire.

What a pleasure it was for us to entertain so many of our Ullr friends on a truly lovely summer day.  It reminded us once again that one gets back more than they give by chairing an Ullr event.
