On a gorgeous Minnesota evening on July 13, 28 ULLR's
met on the Plaza of Orchestra Hall in Minneapolis. Carol Burgess
and Ray Hartmann, Chairs, had set up bouquets of gold and blue balloons
to designate our spot. Well, this was one of those ultra windy Minnesota
nights and balloons flew every which way! In spite of the wind, all
ULLR's found the group. After dining at the Plaza vendors on brats,
burgers, and wraps, we all proceeded to Orchestra Hall for the concert---and
what a concert it was! Conductor and pianist Andrew Litton, wowed
the audience with superb renditions of Gershwin tunes. Standing ovations
followed the concert and a great evening was held by all.
