It was a perfect summer evening for attending the University of Minnesota's Showboat. Prior to attending the play, 34 ULLRs met for a delightful dinner at Boca Chica which is located about six blocks from the Showboat. The food was very good and the service was extraordinary The Margaritas had everyone relaxed and enjoying good conversation at two long tables. --An excellent choice all the way around.
Cathy Hartle and Doug Larsen (Doug had a "Barbershop" engagement and was unable to join us for dinner) drove in from Little Falls and were waiting for us at the Showboat. We gathered outside for several minutes to enjoy the river and weather.
"Mousetrap" was a delightful play. The costuming, singing and dancing of the old-fashioned playhouse Olios between scenes was creative, amusing at times and just plain fun. The actors were all Theater students at the University of Minnesota and put on great performances. If you missed joining us, it is worth a trip on your own!
