Speaker: Ms. Eileen Maguire
Ms. Eileen Maguire is presently the Campus Minister at St. Saviour High School in Brooklyn. She has been an instructor for the Pastoral Institute Lay Leadership Program since 2000. She was Pastoral Associate at St. Francis of Assisi from 1999-2005, Master Catechist for the Diocese of Brooklyn from 1979-2004. She was Director of Religious Education at St. Francis Cabrini from 1977-1999 and was a teacher at St. Francis Cabrini from 1968-1977. Ms Maguire holds a B.S. in Elementary Education from Richmond College (CUNY) and a Ph.D. in Religious Education from Fordham University. Addition Programs of study include the Diocese of Brooklyn Pastoral Institute Leadership Program and the Boston College Summer Institute of Religious Education.

Speaker: Mr. Daniel O'Keefe
Mr. Daniel O'Keefe has a Masters Degree in Religious Studies from St. Joseph's Seminary in Dunwoodie, New York. He is currently the Vice Principal and Academic Dean at Cathedral Prep Seminary in Elmhurst, New York where he teaches Theology and Fine Arts. He is also and adjunct professor of Theology for St. John's University, teaching church history to the seminarians in the Pre-Theology Program for the Diocese of Brooklyn and the Diocese of Rockville Centre. He also teaches church history and scripture in the Diaconate Formation Program for the Diocese of Brooklyn.

Speaker: Mr. Joseph Roach
Mr. Joseph Roach, M.A., M.S. first taught "Catholic" courses for Fr. Joe Hammond's Social Action Program at nearby St. Joseph's Commercial H.S. in the 1950's. His experience includes catechist formation and parental education, courses and lectures on the Bible, faith, youth ministry, and the Catholic novel, and a long commitment to a teenage religious retreat program. He is an instructor in the Pastoral Institute's Lay Leadership Program and an adjunct professor at St. John's University (Queens) since 1989 teaching courses in dogma and scripture. He is a catechist for the RCI program in his parish, St. Mel in Flushing, where he lives with his wife Irene, near their three children and three grandchildren.

Speaker: Sister Mary Jane Kelly O.P.
Sister Mary Jane Kelly, O.P. has ministered in the Diocese of Brooklyn in the areas of liturgy and catechesis for many years. Sister is an adjunct assistant professor of Theology at St. John's University and the Chair of the Art and Architecture commission of the Diocese of Brooklyn. Sister holds a doctorate in Liturgy and works in the parish of Saint Teresa in Woodside, New York.

Speaker: Sister Helen Gertrude Carroll, DC
Sister Helen Gertrude Carroll, DC has been a Daughter of Charity for almost 50 years. Her studies in elementary education and mathematics prepared her to teach elementary and high school for a total of 38 years. She completed her masters program at Boston College where she obtained a degree in theology/religious education in the wake of Vatican II. She became a full-time religion teacher in various high schools and was involved in the training of catechists in different dioceses. At St. John the Baptist Parish, she serves as the Director of Faith Formation which involves the Children's Program and the Generations of Faith Program. She has been an instructor for 3 years in the Pastoral Institute Program for the Diocese of Brooklyn.
