The Chairpersons were approved for each of the parish events and activities. The Homeless Shelter will hopefully return to Assumption in January Gary Cushing, our Pastoral Associate, gave a detailed report regarding the Religious Education Program and the RCIA. During Advent we will have weekly Scripture Study groups after the 8:00 A.M. Mass. In place of a monthly Lecture Series our parish will host a weekly Series in Lent 2009 on “Spirituality and Prayer.” Each parish is encouraged to have a Vocations Committee. Marianne Bellucci will explore the possibility of this through our Diocesan Program. The Council will review the feasibility of having a Development Committee. A new envelope system will begin in early November. The Council discussed future initiatives and the Financial situation of our parish. These two items will be addressed in the near future.
