Text Box: EXECUTIVE SUMMARY OF THE MAY PASTORAL COUNCIL MEETING The Pastoral Council met on Monday, May 5th. The following were discussed/decided: The Council met the new Pastoral Associate Mr. Gary Cushing. Nominations are in progress for new Council members and are due by June 1st. Our Pastoral Plan was reviewed and we are waiting for official approval of it by our Bishop. The April Lay Leadership Lecture and the Theology at the Tap were very successful. The First Married Couples Gathering was a great success and this will continue in a new format in the fall. The Mother’s Day Shower is in progress. The Last Lecture will be held on Wed. May 7th - “Morality in Action.” An all girls’ choir will perform a Concert in Assumption Church on Sat. May 24 at 7:30 Sunday, May 25 - Cluster Vespers and Holy Hour at St. James at 3:00 P.M. We are honoring Sister Maria on Sunday, June 15th. Responses are due by June 1 We are looking into possible grants for the church building as there are needed repairs on the roof that are to take place. The Kerry and Cyndy Felski Garden has been installed. HOLY HOUR Our parish will celebrate our monthly Holy Hour on Saturday, June 7th after the 8:00 A.M. Mass.
